Behind The Lens

Location

This photo, which is where I was born in Eskisehir, was filmed in Turkey. It is in the biggest forest land of Eskisehir

Time

It was the morning hours. It was cold and people were walking in the forest.

Lighting

Since we were in winter, the weather was off. Because there was a lot of clouds in the air, daylight was distributed equally everywhere.

Equipment

I am using other cameras now. However, I shoot this photo with my first camera years ago. Canon 550D and 18-135 lens. I did not use a tripod or flash.

Inspiration

The old man in the photo was alone. The dog that followed him was also lonely and old. The dog was not the old man. It was a dog abandoned to the forest. He was looking after everyone who went. Maybe because someone likes it.

Editing

I used Lightroom. I converted the photo to black / white. I increased the contrast, I added some sharpness.

In my camera bag

I am using 6D Mark II now. I have two lenses. 24-105 f4 L and 16-35 f2.8 L.

Feedback

I waited 20 minutes in the same place to take this photo. I waited patiently for the old man to walk away and the dog not to go. I think being patient will be my best advice.
