I am using other cameras now. However, I shoot this photo with my first camera years ago. Canon 550D and 18-135 lens. I did not use a tripod or flash.Inspiration
The old man in the photo was alone. The dog that followed him was also lonely and old. The dog was not the old man. It was a dog abandoned to the forest. He was looking after everyone who went. Maybe because someone likes it.Editing
I used Lightroom. I converted the photo to black / white. I increased the contrast, I added some sharpness.In my camera bag

I waited 20 minutes in the same place to take this photo. I waited patiently for the old man to walk away and the dog not to go. I think being patient will be my best advice.
