Location
I have done this photo at my home in Podolsk, Moscow region.Time
It was summer sunny day.Lighting
I was working with sunlight. The sun was high. To catch some strait light I used mirror, placed near the window. I had several mirrors around to redirect the light. While sun was moving in the sky (and it was quick), I had to move a bit my mirrors too. I spend several hours usually to work with flowers. I chose sunlight, because it's more natural for flowers and because it is so abundant.Equipment
Tripod, film camera Bronica ETR-si and Zoom 45-90 (medium format). And mirrors.Inspiration
This project I named "Flowers spirit". I wanted to find something special about a flower, that will show its character. So I noted diversity of thin stems of camomile, what suggested a composition.Editing
Yes, I scanned the film and made some contrast improving in lightroom. In my camera bag
In my bag I always have Olympus OM-D E-M10-iii with wide angle zoom14-42 (thin). To photograph nature or in studio I take Bronica and lenses 50/2.8, 75/2.8, 135/4, 150/3.5, 200/4.5mm, 100-220/4.8 zoom and 45-90/4-5.6 zoom. And tripod, sure. Also I always use several film backs. For exposure I use Sekonic L-758D.Feedback
The main thing is watching, observing flowers. Take care to keep only flower in view. Nothing else. You can start with "sudden" composition and slowly change it, step by step. Or think and may be draw some sketches before. It is important to try different angles of light for each composition, just experimenting.
