Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Concord, New Hampshire. I'm a professional window cleaner, and this cat watched me work for over an hour. He followed me to every window.

Time

I went to work that morning (I always carry my camera bag) and didn't know what I would see. This was probably about 3pm and I hadn't shot anything all day, but this little guy just needed to be photographed.

Lighting

The sun went through the window perfectly to add a lot of depth to the shot.

Equipment

I used an old Canon t3 for this shot with a kit 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

After playing with the cat through the window for a while, I decided to try and capture his expressive face.

Editing

The only post processing I did was to remove some reflections from the window that I had shot through. I used Photoshop Elements 12.

In my camera bag

I don't have much equipment because I'm pretty new at photography, but I carry a Canon t5 body, with my two kit lenses along with an NDF, polarizer, and a few other lens filters.

Feedback

Always be shooting. Take your camera everywhere because anything can happen. I shot this just for fun, because I liked the cat, and it's become one of my most liked photos. Always be shooting.
