On a compact camera, too - hooray for tripods!
It was also the middle of winter in South Korea, and I was standing on the roof of a small apartment building. I'd seen the moon rise the day before, so I knew approximately when the moon would be rising. I found the exact time online, but my apartment building was at the foot of a medium-sized hill, so I had to wait for some time, getting colder and colder. With my gloves on, I couldn't operate the controls, but with them off, my hands froze. I took about 50 photos in the space of a few minutes, and fortunately one worked. Many didn't.
