Amazing capture of a moment any mother can identify with. You have wonderful wildlife photographs.

Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in the Masai Mara Reserve (Kenya) during a self organized photo safari.Time
Time was around 7 am on a cold and cloudy day.Lighting
The sky was so grey that day that it probably would have ruined the photo. I therefore deliberatly dropped the angle and pushed ISO dramatically in order to get a descent shutter speed with only bushes as a backdrop. The cheetahs were constantly moving so a high shutter speed was crucial.Equipment
Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 500mm lens 4.0 Series II and a bean bag.Inspiration
The unique moment. One doesn't come across a cheetah and its cubs very often and I was lucky not only to spot them, but to spend almost three hours with them in an open field.Editing
A little bit of cropping and a little bit of color adjustment. Not much really. In my camera bag
Bag? It is more of a suitcase or two... I use three bodies, all of them Canon 5D Mark III, with three different Canon lenses: 70-200 mm 2.8, 300mm 2.8 and a 500mm 4.0. On top of that I carry a Canon lens 24-70 mm 2.8 and a Canon lens 8-14mm fisheye. Furthermore a flash, a Benro tripod, a Gimbal head, two pairs of binoculars, two bean bags and enough containers with compressed air to clean all that stuff.Feedback
It is not easy to capture such a scene because it is extremely time consuming. In this particular case, it took me four days before I was able to make that shot. One day I found myself constantly at a wrong angle, the next day the cheetahs disappeared altogether and the third day it was not raining, but pouring. On the fourth day I was eventually lucky. My advise therefore is a very simple one: stay patient and never give up.
