Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the west coast of Sardinia in a place called "Is Arutas"

Time

This picture was taken in March 2016, at around 6 pm. At least 1 hour before I was at home and watching the sky and the clouds I imagined that the sun would offer a beautiful show. I took my Nikon and I left immediately to the sea in about 15 minutes from my house.

Lighting

this is a landscape photography so I just used the natural light. I set the white balance to cloudy to give a warm atmosphere to the image.

Equipment

This shot was taken with a Nikon D7100 on which I mounted a tokina 11-16. I used a Manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

I love the sea, especially at sunset, and especially away from the summer season. Let's say that nature gives me inspiration

Editing

In post production I adjusted exposure lights and shadows and also the white balance to give a warm atmosphere at sunset. I worked the sea and the rocks in the foreground to give more light. Finally I applied the filter to bring out the details.

In my camera bag

I have no fixed gear because even varies according to the type of shots I have to do.

Feedback

Ideally, plan the work, although in this case I did not plan. however, it is essential to arrive earlier to be ready at the appropriate time. We must study well the composition and locate important items to include.
