The Historical Clock Tower is located at the hearth of Çanakkale, a city and seaport in Turkey, in Çanakkale Province, on the southern coast of the Dardanelles at their narrowest point. The Clock Tower is one of the symbols of Çanakkale.

It was built in 1897 by an Italian, Emili Vitali, a tradesman and honorary consul of the time, who left 100,000 gold francs in his will for this purpose. The tower was built from Ayvalik stone that one can find only in local areas.

The tower has five floors. The clock is on the fourth floor and is set on all four sides. On the fifth floor there is a dome. At the bottom of the Çanakkale Clock Tower there is a public fountain which was added later in 1889 by a wealthy Jewish resident of the town called Halyo.
