Behind The Lens

Location

Southwold,Suffolk, U.K

Time

Taken for a sunrise image at 5.04 am in the month of June.

Lighting

I always go there in the month of June as I like where the sun comes up relative to the pier

Equipment

Taken on a Canon EOS 5D.Using a 28-135 EOS lens with tripod, Also used a big stopper filter.

Inspiration

Have been to Southwold many times and taken images of the pier, I am always trying to use a different composition when I am up there.Once you have got your composition sorted it is then just waiting for the light.

Editing

Not a great deal, I shoot in Raw, on the computor I use Adobe Photoshop which I rent and on that very basic tools levels and hue and saturation .I like to get it right in camera.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 5D purchased in 2007,Lenses EF50m/m, EF 24-105, EF 20-35, EF 70-200, EF 100-400. Remote switch, Set of Lee Filters,1.4 and a 2x Canon Extender, Sekonic light meter, Canon Angle Finder C. Two spare batteries. To carry a Manfrotto Tripod

Feedback

Find a landscape that you like and keep going back to it, you will need to work out at what time of the year and day is the best time for you, .the light changes on the subject throughout the year.
