Behind The Lens

Location

My Mother In law's back yard.

Time

24/12/2015 4:54pm

Lighting

Was about to lose the light, this is one of the last photos I had taken that day.

Equipment

Free hand no flash, Canon 5D Mark III with my VENUS 60mm F2.8 Macro lens. As it is a manual lens I have no record of what the f-stop was at the time of shot. I'd say about f5-8.

Inspiration

That Pink!....Most local frangipani trees are yellow and white.

Editing

I use Lightroom. I added some contrast to help that pop even more.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon 5d mk3, 24-70mm 2.8 L II USM. It cost an arm and a leg. A Canon 50mm 1.4, My Venus Macro 60mm 2:1 F2.8. ND1000 filter, and a Exelas 323B Tripod older than me. Last but not least the Mk-14ext ring flash.

Feedback

Don't be afraid to use manual lenses or manual mode, especially if you have the time to take your time. You might just surprise yourself :)
