I met these young families on the first weekend of spring break, on a logging road, on their way 'back to the camp', where grandparents had a cozy welcoming fire going. They had just finished tapping maple trees to collect the sweet nectar to make their own maple syrup. The innovative combination of old and new means of transportation also include two more sleds attached to the pink rope. Two more children were joyfully carving new trails behind. Rosy red cheeks, plaid mackinaws, touques, mittens, waving at passers by........it doesn't get anymore Canadian than this, eh?
