Location
I took this photo in my home town in Portugal (Évora).Time
It was a summer and I took this image early morning, about 8:00am.Lighting
It wasn't a sunny day and that gave me a better light control. I just had my camera without any modifier / softbox or flashes.Equipment
I just used a compact camera, model X10 of Fuji. No tripod or acessories.Inspiration
I always liked old cars, and this one had a beautiful color... At that time I had a challenge with my girlfriend. We went out with our cameras and when we found anything interesting we took a picture. We called the project "Double Challenge". We could take more than 1 picture, but only one of each other would be edited and posted. We posted the photos at flickr (always just one mine and other of her) to compare both points of view. It was funny because we made very different pictures at that time.Editing
Yes, I did. In general I use Lightroom for post-processing. And that image is an example. In my camera bag
I'm a profissional photographer since 2007. So now I use a lot of equipment, the most of the time, I use two Canon cameras. An EOS 6D and an 5D mk III. The lenses are many... and I use Yongnuo flashes, most of them are 600 EX RT II. I also use a transmitter for my flashesFeedback
My advice is a general advice and not particular for this kind of image. I have seen a lot of people who want to learn photography worried about equipment. In my opinion the equipment matters, of course, but 90% of the image is made by the photographer. So if you don't wanna take pictures of anything very fast like car sports, or if you don't need to take night pictures in a low light scenarios, any cheaper camera can be better than an expensive one. Why? Because the expensive have much more to learn about and that make you forget the essencial like light and composition. You can have a extraordinary camera, but if you don't learn about photography you never will take good pictures... The only premise you must have when to buy a camera is if it has criative modes. That is essencial to get the control and learn about photography using the easy way. And practice, pratice is everything. Test, test, test...
