Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was shot at Lake George , NY

Time

It was sunset, that is when I wanted to capture the Golden hour beauty !

Lighting

I would recommend that once must not just wait for the beautiful golden hour but also th dawn .. This is when the sky becomes Blue/Magenta based in the wavelength of the light and give nice and pleasant feel

Equipment

I used Nikon D5000 and lense being Nikon 24-70 mm f2.8 gem. I would always recommends shots like this to be taken with the help of Tripod..

Inspiration

I have been taking lot of shots the whole day , however , it was the time when , I thought of taking a break.. My son suddenly pointed his fingers towards the beautiful colors showing up and their you have the shot

Editing

Yes.. I had to do bring up the saturation and brightness a bit up as I took this shot underexposed due to the varying light conditions and took it RAW

In my camera bag

I always carry a Camera backpack that includes my new full frame Nikon D750 with my kit lense being Nikon 16-35 mm F4, Nikon 24-70mm f2.8, Nikon 70-200mm f4, Nikon 50mm F1.8 and 85mm f1.8 portrait lense. I also have a fish eye lense that give a little twist.

Feedback

Be patient.. if you are a beginner , understand at you can achieve from your camera .. Start by using the aperture priority mode and understand how it could make a difference to your shot. then gradually move on taking manual photos..I guarantee you that you will start liking the habit of taking sharp and beautiful shots..
