Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot whilst trekking through a nature reserve in Phuket, Thailand. I had been looking for tree frogs all day and this was the only one that I managed to find.

Time

This was taken around 3pm in the afternoon, so that I could take advantage of the dappled light.

Lighting

All of this was done with natural light

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Panasonic GX-7 and a 14-45 mm lens. I didn't have access to a tripod due to the unstable footing.

Inspiration

The main passion in my photography lies in wildlife. I have a few reptiles at home, so was excited to hear that there was tree frogs present in the forest. So these became my goal for the day.

Editing

Just a slight touch of contrast to ensure the image had the punch that I envisaged it would have in my head.

In my camera bag

I usually carry all of my lenses with me just in case I happen to venture across any chance of a good photo.

Feedback

Have a subject in mind prior to setting out, and try out as many angles as possible to ensure that you get the best shot!
