Location
This photo was taken at Bube's Brewery located in Mount Joy, Pa.Time
Photo was taken in March of 2016 around 2pm.Lighting
The light coming in the window made parts of the models face dark. This was then corrected with photoshop.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 7D, with an 18-55mm f/3.5 lens.Inspiration
I was about a year into learning/taking photography and was approached by another photographer wanting me to come work for him. We scheduled a place and time to meet and I brought along my beautiful sister as my model. We spent roughly an hour shooting in the whole upstairs of the brewery. This photo was actually one of my last shots of the day and is by far the best!Editing
All my images are shot in RAW. This image was dark so I lightened up the shadows, bumped the highlights down just a bit, boosted the clarity along with the vibrancy and saturation. In my camera bag
My go to lens is my 18-55mm f/3.5, mainly because that is the lens I stated shooting with and feel most comfortable. But I also carry with me a 50mm f/1.8, a 75-300mm f/4-5.6, along with two speedlite flashes and many different filter.Feedback
My advice to any photographer would be to let your models be as natural as possible. Too many times images looked forced. This image was taken inside, in a controlled environment. So we didn't have to worry about lighting changing drastically when a cloud passed over and blocked the sun or vice versa. Snap a shot and check you settings, adjust if needed and do it again. I've learned the hard way too many time by setting my camera where I "thought" it would be good and my images turned out too dark or way too blown out.
