I took this photo of my dog Rooby on our farm in Australia.Time
I saw that it was going to be a spectacular sunset so I took a walk in the front paddock with my dog and camera. My dog jumped up on some rocks to get a better look for kangaroos etc. and I noticed she made a fabulous silhouette!! I took heaps of photos of her that evening in the beautiful sunset.Lighting
The colors in this sunset were spectacular so nut much need to even edit the photo!Equipment
This shot was on my Nikon D7100. I used my favorite 55-300 lens. I like that lens because it's great for unexpected wildlife but also good for flowers etc. and it's not too heavy!Inspiration
The colors that were coming out of this sunset early on were amazing so I was excited to see how it would turn out.Editing
Since the colors in this sunset were so spectacular there was not much needed to be edited. I did bring out the saturation a bit and also darkened the shadows a bit.In my camera bag
I usually go wondering or hiking with just my Nikon D7100 and my 55-300 lens because it gets too heavy otherwise!!Feedback
I think that people just need to be aware of a possible gorgeous sunset and be prepared. I don't go anywhere on foot, in a car, airplane etc. without my camera. You just never know when a fabulous shot will present itself!
