Location
I took the photo in my hometown Gothenburg-Sweden,and the Bridge is called “ Älvsborgsbron” and it connects the mainland to the third largest Island ”Hisingen” in Sweden. I am a self-taught photographer and I only take photos as a hobby, and get my income from my regular day job.Time
The time was somewhere between 22.00-23.00 when I took the photo, I thought it would look at its best during the “blue” hour and all the lights lit.Lighting
The photo was taken late evening so there was only natural light.Equipment
I was using a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 10-20mm 1:4-5.6 lens, a Induro AKB2/BH2 Tipod.Inspiration
My inspiration for the photo was just the bridge itself, since I always thought it was looking very nice in the evenings with all the lights on,and I was very pleased when I noticed the nice reflections on the water.Editing
Only tried to sharpen it a bit.In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon D7100,my Sigma 10-20mm and my Nikon 55-105mm and also my Nikon 85mm 1:1.8 D I also have my LEE Big Stopper filter, and a remote control for those long exposures. Last but not least,I always make sure to have a small bottle of lens/filter cleaning solutions and a clean cloth with me.Feedback
The best advice I as an amateur can give when going for night shoots is to visit the place in daylight before the actual photo shoot, and when it is time, take several photos with different settings, and prepare your self for both a 2nd and 3d visit, not always you get the photo just like it on the first try.
