Val d'Orcia - Italia

I recommend viewing on black.

After the dark, sunlight reaches the earth and the sky resumes its nuances and tones.
The world is still sleeping.
In those brief instants, just after the sun has passed the horizon line, light takes power and the magic begins.
I believe this warm light is kind of a message, not just a tone.
And when light embraces such wonderful places it's like being inside a indefinite and new dimension.
A simply beautiful feeling, every time.

Just so bathed in sunlight, it like I could swim in it.... great job, good feeling looking at it.... The right side is just as interesting as the left..... wow there really is place like that?

Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo in Tuscany, in San Quirico. The surrounding rural area represents one of the most iconic places in Italy for its rolling hills, cypresses and early morning haze.
Time
This one was taken at sunrise at the end of spring.
Lighting
I wanted this image to look warm and positive, so I waited the middle of golden hour when the light is still warm and colors the details of the landscapes.
Equipment
For this one I used my Nikon D800, Nikkor 70-200mm on tripod.
Inspiration
In this place photographers usually chose a typical composition filling the frame on Belvedere. I tried it as well, as you can see in my portfolio, but that morning I wanted to try a panoramic view from the same vantage point. I find that was interesting because all around there are so many nice elements without too much confusion: cypresses, fields, contrails left by the wheels of tractors on the fields, fog among the hills, vineyards, lonely trees, olive groves.
Editing
In short, a particular point of view, the details in their place, the right amount of fog and the morning warm light
In my camera bag
I usually bring my Nikon D800 with three lenses: Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8, Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8. ND 1000, ND 64 and CPL filters (150mm) with holder for wide angle and adaptor ring for the other lenses. Remote control and cleaning kit.
Feedback
This is not a technical advice...I find that this kind of tips aren't very useful. Go there before the sunrise and find a good and versatile spot and wait until the light becomes white and less nice. Don't waste your time trying to overdo, instead concentrate on the right moment for shooting and on composition. Settings are also important: check out your menu to see if it's all right. Look the panorama with eyes and also look for details to capture.
