Hair Up 1

After multiple attempts I finally got the shot I was wanting. She is looking at me while her hair is going up.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo during a photography workshop.

Time

This was in studio on an evening.

Lighting

The lighting was a strobe light that stood behind me and was synchronized with my cameras flash.

Equipment

Canon T3, standard kit lens, no tripod with external strobes.

Inspiration

I love fashion, pin-up style photography. What inspired me to take this picture is that everybody in the workshop group was taking standard pictures with the models. I thought why not try something different and see if I can get the model to look at me while bringing her head up to get the hair standing effect.

Editing

The picture was more of a full body shot. To get the hair and her face I cropped the image.

In my camera bag

Today I have my go to camera which is a Canon 7D and depending on the lenses they can vary from the Nifty 50mm, the standard kit lenses to my newly acquired 70-200mm L series lens.

Feedback

Practice, practice, practice. To get this image it took me and the model over six tries before getting this shot.
