Location
I took this photo in a magical place in my hometown Porto, called Serra do Pilar. This place, it's a famous sightseeing, where you can absorve all the enchanting of the landscape of Porto in Portugal.Time
I remember very well the day that a took ths photo. It was the last night of my class of photography, in January 2016, and it was so cold!! But the cold of the night only made it more magical. There was a misterious fog over the river Douro, and a bright full moon. It was stupendous! it was around 01:00 a.m. in the time i took this photo.Lighting
For this photo, and because it was a long exposure, i only used the light of the full moon, the citylights on the horizon and the sparkles that made the globe effect.Equipment
This was shot with a canon 1100D, a tripod, and lens canon 18-55mm f/3.5Inspiration
This photo was an inspiration for itself. As i said earlier, it was a magical night, in a magical place, and the effect of the long exposure made a magical image that i would never forget.Editing
For this photo i only corrected the white balance and the highlights. I haven't made any more post processing. In my camera bag
normaly i carry in my bag 3 lenses: canon 50mm f/1.8, sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 and canon 75-300mm f/3.5.Feedback
For this type of photo it's important to choose a place where the sparkles wont make any damages arround. in Porto you can find many places where a photo like this can be taken. There are many magical spots, to create the perfect sorrounding landscape for your photo.
