Location
This photo was taken enroute to Solang Valley, Manali in India. A couple of my mates were travelling by a car when I looked out of the window and this view tempted me to capture it.Time
It was quite a lazy day for us, given that most of us spent last night drinking and dancing. We left after having a quick breakfast and there was a short pitstop to grab the ski-gear. I am assuming it was around midday when we arrived at this crossing.Lighting
Given that it was midday there was more than enough daylight. It had snowed the previous evening, so I was expecting a lot of cloud cover but most of it had cleared away by the time we were at the crossing. This allowed me to snap this in all it's natural beauty.Equipment
This was shot on my trusty old iPhone 5 (no modifications or lenses attached).Inspiration
Having lived my entire life in a city, this magnificent landscape blew my senses with the cloud cover over the snowy peaks along with the colourful hues of civilisation.Editing
Since there was an abundance of sunlight, I just adjusted the white balance to get those vivid colours popping. In my camera bag
Just my iPhone 5 at the moment (Hoping to jump to a DSLR soon).Feedback
Patience, is the most important virtue that a photographer must possess. And if you're using a mobile camera, make sure to utilise our star's light. Daytime is the best time to snap those colourful pictures on your mobile device.
