I was a little north of Monterey, CA exploring one of the breakwaters when this big guy popped up right in front of me, and just hung out for a while. I think he was so accustomed to people fishing in the area, he was waiting for something to fall in the water. That, or he was just curious about my camera pointing at him. Either way, I was very happy to see him!
