Behind The Lens

Location

this was taken at Amphitrite point lighthouse in Ucluelet BC

Time

Went out that night to capture the sunset and the full moon and was able to capture this fishing vessel heading back into the harbour. Was July 31 2015 around 8pm such a beautiful night and calm waters.

Lighting

Playing with your ISO or slowing your shutter speed down can help depending on your surroundings and time of day.

Equipment

I used a canon 7D Mark II , F/6.3 1/60 sec 1000 ISO and a tripod

Inspiration

I love taking pictures... day time, night time, anytime... I just like to wonder the trails and enjoy the beauty mother nature has to offer

Editing

I really don't do too much with my photo's ... I may crop a little or straighten as sometimes I have a tendency to tilt a little but otherwise what you see is what I took. I play with my camera settings and try different F-stop's, ISO's ect and that's really about it.

In my camera bag

Basically my camera, my Sigma DC 18-200mm and my Canon EFS 18-135mm. If I remember I take my tripod

Feedback

Time and patience... enjoy the beauty you come across as it is in every turn of the corner when you least expect it. The way the light shines on something or reflection on the water can be so breath taking at times and to capture those moments in time .. well it makes everything look brighter.
