I was driving to a work conference in the very early morning. It was on September 11 and I remember feeling sad over the 9/11 anniversary. The morning was shrouded with mist, and as the sun rose, the beauty was such a mood elevator. I pulled over when I saw the beautiful scene, making myself late!Lighting
Actually, the camera I used had a setting for sunrise/ sunset pictures, enhancing the oranges.Equipment
I did not have my DSLR, but kept my point and shoot Panasonic Lumix in the trunk. You don't always need a great camera to get a nice shot!Inspiration

Normally I carry a canon 5D Mark lll with 2 lenes. I do keep the Panasonic Lumix point and shoot in the trunk for unexpected photo ops!Feedback
Keep some notes about iconic structures or a lovely Grove of trees, etc and monitor your forecast! Head out when you have a nice fog, the first frost, a snowfall to your pre-planned destination. This one was just good luck though!
