Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken in Kyoto, Japan. We did a short hike to the top of a small mountain to see these wild monkeys. The most monkeys where not shy but this one was not happy with al the visitors.

Time

Just in the afternoon while all the monkeys where having lunch. This one was different. He was waiting for something...

Lighting

It was difficult to light up the monkey because he was sitting in tree full of shadow but the sunlight that comes between the leaves makes it a special photo for me.

Equipment

This shot was taken by my Nikon D5100 with my Tamron 18-270mm and no other equipment.

Inspiration

On the top of the mountain there where a lot of monkeys. They all where eating at the same place but this one was waiting for something. He took my attention so I came closer to him. We had a connection and it felt like he was ok I was photographing him very close.

Editing

No sorry

In my camera bag

If I travel I only take my Nikon D5100 with my Tamron 18-270. I'm still looking for the right zoom to photograph animals.

Feedback

Well my advice is simple.. just keep your eyes open. If 20 people taking photo's of 100 monkeys look for something else. You don't want the same photo's all the other people are taking.
