Location
This photo was taken at the Fisher building in Detroit. The Fisher Building (1928) is a landmark skyscraper in the old city center of Detroit ,Michigan. This beautiful building is an Art Deco style, constructed of limestone, granite, and several types of marble. I love architecture and this photo was a bit of a challenge with all the shiny marble, reflections and low lighting.Time
If I remember correctly it was around noon or so, no sun light coming in from outside which was great because otherwise sunlight would have caused glare at the far end entrance.Lighting
.Equipment
This was taken with my trusty canon T5 with a 18-55mm lens I was traveling light that day as it involved a lot of walking so no tripod, just holding my breath when pushing the button...Inspiration
I love symmetry, lines, curves and how they come togetherEditing
Most of my images I might correct contrast, exposure and sometimes colours but I try to stay away from "photoshopping" images, I will not take parts out or add things to my images, I like them to be as close as to what the eye can see..In my camera bag
Normally I carry in my bag my Canon with a 18-55mm and a 70-300mm with macro capabilities, a notepad, extra batteries, sd cards, a flashlight and a lens cleaning kit. Pretty basic I thinkFeedback
With any buildings the lighting indoors can be a challenge, glare, narrow corners and awkward angles, a decent flash can be the answer or take a shot with a longer exposure (tripod will be a necessity). Take a look around and figure out which angles work and sometimes it's in the details and not in the structure.
