Amazing shot. It's a beautiful place. I have been through there a few times on my way to Elfin Cove AK.

Location
This photo was taken from one of the fingers of South Harbor in Petersburg, Alaska. I love photographing the harbors, as commercial fishing is the biggest part of our community!Time
My sister and I had gone to the Sons of Norway Hall for bingo the night this was shot. After bingo, we saw there was some great fog and we decided to take a "photo walk". We walked down on several areas of South Harbor that night and I got some amazing shots of fog, boats, the moon, etc...It was a wonderful experience...Alaska at its finest! This particular image was taken around 11pm on June 26, 2015...there are other images taken that night in my gallery on my profile as well!Lighting
I only used available lighting for this shot...just lamp posts and the moon, no flash!Equipment
The camera used was a Canon 5D Mark II, the lens was a Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM, tripod used was Ravelli APLT4 61"Inspiration
I was originally inspired by the fog that had appeared as we were leaving the Sons of Norway Hall...and when we walked down the dock, I saw that everything that was lit by the lamp posts looked gold! I started taking photographs and the moon peeked out from behind the clouds! The whole scene was reflected in the waters of the harbor and it amazed me, so I photographed it! I'm so glad I did! It has become one of my most favorite images!Editing
I used Lightroom to fix simple things such as exposureIn my camera bag
I have my Canon 5D Mark II, a Canon 70-200mm L 2.8 lens, a 50mm 1.4 lens, a 90-300mm lens, a 24-105mm L lens and my speedlight flash..extra batteries, extra memory cards, business cards, square payment reader, and a pen :)Feedback
Use a tripod, have patience and enjoy the experience!
