Location
This photo was taken in New Jersey looking across the Hudson River at the NY city skyline.Time
This was taken after dark.Lighting
I didn't have a tripod with me so I couldn't drag my shutter to bring in more ambient. I used high ISO instead. The Nikon D750 is amazing when shooting at Higher ISO. We have come to love the MagMod modifiers for speedlights. They allow us to create these types of images in under 30 seconds.Equipment
Nikon d750, Simga 70-200mm, Youngnuo 560 III speedlight, MagMod speedlight modifiers.Inspiration
Our couple choose to have their wedding right on the Hudson. New york is a big part of their love story so we tried to include the city skyline into a few of their images.Editing
We edit all of our images with a Lightroom Preset we designed. We did some slight dodging and burning, exposure correction, and color temp correction. In my camera bag

Whenever you have a background that is pretty far away from your subject you can use a longer lens to compress the image. This makes it look like th background is not nearly as far away. The city skyline was all the way across the Hudson river and yet it looks super close!
