This was one of my first attempts at the Milky Way, armed with the comment from a forum “if you can see it, you can photograph it” taken at burton dassett hill country parkTime
Was around 23:00hrs and quite a few people out watching the meteor showerLighting
It was dark the only light was natural or the pollution domes from towns in the distanceEquipment
This was shot with a D5200 and the 18-55mm kit lens, on tripod with Infra remoteInspiration
I knew the area from mountain biking and walking so knew the mining vent cap would make a great foreground oEditing
Yes , there was a dongle raw shot taken and the edited through photoshop raw and finished in lightroomIn my camera bag
I now have my D500, a Sigma 10-30 F3.5 for land scapes and night shots, my trusty walk about lens Nikon 70-300 AF-P and the nature lens Sigma 150-600cFeedback
Go visit in the day light to find the spots and use astronomy apps to see where the arch of the Milky Way is going to be and watch the weather
