Behind The Lens

Location

Inspiration point, Yosemite, USA

Time

This was just before the Golden hour as we were on a day trip to Yosemite

Lighting

There was a cloud cover and lot of wind that gave a very nice interplay of shadow and light.

Equipment

Canon 60D, Handheld, with Tokina 11-16 mm

Inspiration

The Inspiration point and the brathtaking view

Editing

This is a 7 image stack and stacked and processed initially using Photomatix and later edited in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Right now a Canon 5D Mark III, with a 24-104mm, Canon 50 mm 1.8 STM, Canon 100-400 mm, Tamron 90 mm f2.8 and a Samyang 14 mm f 2.8

Feedback

Definitely a tripod will help and go to this place during Golden Hour, Autumn or Late in the night. Using an Ultra Wide Angle or a Fish EYe gives you the magnitude of the place, Using a large DoF will boos the image and if you're forced to shoot during mid-day please do a HDR to get the color contrasts highlighted.
