Location
I took this photo on the shore of Loch Lomond, not too far from Balloch. I found the place by accident, whilst driving around the loch.Time
It was late afternoon about 1600hrs.Lighting
The lighting here can change in an instant. On that day we had low lying clouds filtering the sunlight. I really liked the ambience it created.Equipment
The photo was taken with a Nikon D750 and a Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art lens. I didn't use a flash or a tripod.Inspiration
Just the way the light was making everything look. The lone tree, with its submerged roots. It all just felt so dream like.Editing
Just a touch of sharpening in Photoshop. I try not to go crazy with post.In my camera bag
Normally a D750 and a Tamron 24-70 f2.8, maybe a speedlight and a tripod in the boot.Feedback
Always be ready and always have a camera to hand. Things happen in an instant. Somethings you can't plan ahead for.
