'Het drenkelingenhuisje', a little house built on the Vliehors for stranded sailors.
'Het drenkelingenhuisje' can be reached by taking the Vliehors Expres, they organize trips to it with their custom-built trucks. You can reach 'Het drenkelingenhuisje' on foot (or in another way) as well but only in weekends as the area is used as a testing range by the Air Force on weekdays. Because of this it is strictly prohibited to enter the area when the red flag is raised, which is on weekdays, the signs will help remind you on not entering the area.
You have to be careful in weekends as well entering the area by yourself; wind and water have free-play on the Vliehors. Besides this you may find unexploded ammunition, don't pick it up and don't touch it, this is dangerous and prohibited. It's a good walk: from the village it is about 17km and about 6,5 km from the military base (which can be reached by bus (on request) or by bike).
