A baby seal that has been washed up by the storms and has lost it's mother and is unseen by passers by. This is a common occurance on the coast of Northumberland, UK. The baby seals may have been too weak to fight the strong tides so it has ended up in the sand dunes. If you do find one it is best not to try to return it to the sea and to contact the authorities to have it checked over first to see if it is not injured and healthy before returning it to the sea. They are such beautiful animals.
