This is the very top of a very tall sculpture I found in New Bern, North Carolina. It was inspired by the flower Lycoris Radiata brought to New Bern from Japan in the mid 1800's by Captain William Robers. A Gift to the city of New Bern, North Carolina by Dr. Jim Congleton July 2011. The sculpter is Susan Pascal Beran of Fairfax, California. I took the image and cropped it, then inverted the color pallet with Picasa.
