Behind The Lens

Location

Picnic Island Park in Tampa, FL

Time

Sunset

Lighting

The intent was to capture the rich green color of the moss lit by the warm glow of the sunset.

Equipment

Nikon D200, Nikkor 70-200 lens, tripod, shutter release cable

Inspiration

The rocks, moss, and sunset were all there and it was just a natural instinct to capture it

Editing

I used Lightroom to increase the lighting in the foreground (this was not an HDR photo), enrich the green color of the moss, and add some dramatic color to the sky, as well as add some more intense reflection of the sun on the water

In my camera bag

I pack pretty light. Only my Nikon D200 and Nikkor 70-200 lens, a few filters, tripod, and remote shutter release cable

Feedback

Take advantage of the color in a scene. Moss really gets rich when the green is saturated just a little.
