I used an Alien Bee 1600 with a medium westcott softbox as my key and a couple of speedlights for fill and to light up the background.Equipment
I used a Nikon D600 with a Nikon 85 1.4 shot at 1/200 sec @ f4.Inspiration
Alfie gets some goofy looks when he gets dressed up and we found a few different costumes at local store. This one photographed the best and was my favorite.Editing
No major editing just some slight adjustments all done in LR.In my camera bag
Normally I carry a D600 with an 85 1.4, 70-220 2.8, 28mm 1.8, and a nifty 50. Then I have my Fuji bag with a X100s and an XT1 with a 35mm 2.0 and 18-55 2.8-4.0. On special occasions I will break out the Mamiya 645 Pro TL.Feedback
PATIENCE! PATIENCE! PATIENCE! It takes along time to get a dog to do what you want sometimes and a lot of treats. Alfie isn't always treat oriented but with some sliced turkey he can be convinced to cooperate.
