Location
This particular photo was taken at Semeling,Kedah,Malaysia. This place is a chicken barn consisting of 15000 chicks where the amount of chicks in this photo is just a small part of them.Time
This is like one of the most cutest photos I've captured. Why is it cute?Look at the facial expressions of each chicks. In this time of my life, I was just an amateur photographer who doesn't even owns a tripod or some equipments to take good photos. However, this photo was taken during the evening period of the day. The photo was taken on Wednesday, 26 February 2014 at 4:51PM.Lighting
The lighting were most to natural lighting in this photo. Besides, there was also addition light bulbs which were yellow in colour that gave the golden shine on the chicks.Equipment
This shot was taken using a Canon 500D with a 50mm Canon prime lens at the aperture of 6.3 and exposure of 1/250.Inspiration
Generally, as a photographer, we are all gifted because we are capable of capturing golden moments at the right time. So what struck my mind is that, 'why not try to capture the moments being enjoyed by animals?'. Therefore, I took the chance I had on that time to capture this photo.Editing
Yes. Usually in my photos that I take I will ensure it undergoes colour correction and auto-tone so that my photos will be vibrant and attractive. In my camera bag
The most important thing that I will usually pack in my bag is the Canon 50mm f1.8 prime lens because that is one of the most important lens for my shots. Besides, I also have the Canon 28-80mm lens which I usually use for general shots such as landscapes, street shots and so on. I also have a Velbon tripod which operates at a reasonable height for me to take some nice steady shots especially when I'm shooting light trails. Moreover, I also have a battery grip which works on the camera battery itself and 6 AA batteries for longer usage of my camera. Last but not least, the item in my bag is the body itself where currently I've upgraded my Canon EOS 500D to a Canon EOS 600D.Feedback
First of all, you have to have an idea what will be the outcome of an image if you capture the moments of animals because not only humans have a good time even animals do. Visit more farms and barns to capture priceless moments like this. If possible play around with the prime lens to capture nice photo with nice background and make sure to use manual focus.
