I love how simple and yet how deep this image is - the composition and lighting is wonderful, and really creates a dynamic image out of very little! :D

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Germany in an old castle.

Time

Unfortunately I was there afternoon and the Sun was shining through the window but I didn't want to use HDR on that shot cause I could not use my tripod.

Lighting

All natural lighting.

Equipment

Canon D700, sigma 18-250 lens, no tripod.

Inspiration

I saw the window and I saw the chair in another room and grabbed the chair and moved it in fron of the window, which got me in trouble with the guard, but in the end he let me do the shot :)

Editing

I added a little vignette in Lightroom

In my camera bag

except the Camera I have a Canon 50mm, a sigma 18-250 and a Tamron 10-18 wide angle lens in the bag.

Feedback

If you see a picture in your head, go for it and rearrange it if possible, the Window alone didn't do it for me, so I moved the chair. Of course it's not always possible, the other advice, check the Angle from what to shoot at.
