I'm self taught photographer, but now I've just started going back a getting my BFA in Photography I'm studying at Academy of Art University online classes. This Photo was taken at Dow Gardens in Midland,MI which is were I'm from I go there frequently.Time
This was taken about Mid afternoonLighting
All natural lighting here. With a few adjustments in Photoshop.Equipment
At that time I had a Point and Shoot camera free hand no tripod. no flash. I since upgraded to a Nikon D7100Inspiration
I really liked the composition and how you always see the front of the flowers, So I wanted to get a different angle. The lighting was right I liked the color.Editing
Just a few adjustments in Photoshop I changed the vibrancy and exposure a little bit.In my camera bag
Right now I have Nikon D7100 Zomie Tripod and Several lens and filters etc.Feedback
You need to get more creative with composition and timing is a big key for lighting. I'm now doing everything in manual mode to have more freedom to adjust my settings. Once in a while I'll use TV or AV mode but mostly Manual Mode.
