Congratulations for your winning. This is a stunning and moody photo. The subject is just simple yet the fog has add more drama and mystery to the photo. Wise move to have it in mono, that adds to the classic touch of your shot. Thank you for joining in my challenge.

Location
The photo was taken in my favorite beech forest where I am used to go often for a walk. The forest called Kluisbos and it is located in Flemish Ardennes in Belgium.Time
It was early autumn, November 2nd. The sun comes up quite late at this period of the year and no need to wake up too early. The photo is taken at 10:38.Lighting
For lighting I didn't have to do anything. Nature did it all!Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 60D with Canon EF-S 18-135 mm, 3,5-5,6 IS. No tripod.Inspiration
Actually it wasn't the photo that had to happen this morning, but another one - sun rays pushing through the beech tops and forming the spotlights while falling on the ground through the mist. I have seen many and many such amazing photos but I wanted to take my very own. So, it was very, very misty morning, seemed perfect, but when I arrived to Kluisbos, which is on the hill, there was nothing. Just clear fresh air. I couldn't believe my eyes, everywhere around there was mist, lightproof as a milk. I still decided to walk around and suddenly things started to happen! The mist started to climb up to the hill. And I got my photo what I had been dreaming so long. I almost forgot to take it, watching the beauty of the nature, my mouth open :) But after that I still continued my walk in the forest where the light and mood were continuously changing. And one moment I discovered my favorite forest and myself in the dense mist. No sun anywhere, the mist had occupied the hill and forest. It became different way magic. And then this photo happened! It was certainly my lucky day which I still remember as it was yesterday.Editing
Afterwards, watching this photo, I had a feeling that it will tell deeper story if it has turned to BW. Some more minor changes have done.In my camera bag
Most of the times Canon EOS 7D with Canon 24-70 mm, 2,8 and my "good old" Canon EF-S 18-135 mm, 3,5-5,6 IS.Feedback
For such photo you just have to be at the right time at the right place.
