Space Cops

I went to this location to capture star trails and cars driving by. But the night got a little more interesting. Someone who lives nearby called the police about a suspicious character sitting on a bench in the dark...me!! I spent the hour sitting on this bench, with my camera taking photos using my intervalometer, when the police turned up. Two cars. The blue lights lit up some of the scene, and the police cars can be seen on the left...one of them slightly transparent due to light and movement. The big white line which looks like a lightning bolt was in fact a police officer with his torch attached to his chest walking over to me to ask me what I was up to. The police were very friendly and were very interested in my photography. We had a good chat! Thank you to them for making my image a little more interesting. The unfortunate gap in the star trails was due to a couple of frames being completely blown out by the police car headlights. I had to lose these frames.
