Like a number of other Polish churches in the so-called Polish Cathedral style such as St. Josaphat's Basilica in Milwaukee or Immaculate Heart of Mary in Pittsburgh, the architectural firm of Worthmann and Steinbach modeled the St Mary of the Angels church's design on St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. It has been acclaimed as one of the finest specimens of Roman Renaissance architecture in the United States. Located in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, this church is one of the top eleven churches not to be missed in Chicago.

I was lucky to have the whole church to myself on a rather hot day. So I decided to shoot the vertorama with the tripod. I took, 7x3 manually bracketed shots (-2, 0, +2 EV) using Sigma 10-20mm F4-F5.6 at f-8, ISO 100
