Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on our back deck.

Time

Early afternoon

Lighting

I was fortunate that it was a sunny day. The sun was behind the bird

Equipment

I used just my camera and zoomed in on the bird

Inspiration

Every year my Mom's 2 sisters bring her a mandavilla plant for her birthday. The day I took this picture, the hummingbird had just been at our hummingbird feeder and then sat on this vine for quite a while

Editing

No

In my camera bag

My camera, an extra battery, a battery charger.

Feedback

Photographing humming birds takes a lot of patience. If you have time to just sit quietly, the wait is well worth it
