Location
This is a photo taken at Snoqualmie Falls near North Bend, WA.Time
This was a mid day shot.Lighting
Classic overcast Pacific Northwest day.Equipment
This shot was taken with an Olympus E-510 14-42mm kit lens F8 1/250 at 14mm ISO 100 using a Flashpoint Tripod. Auto White Balance. Center Metered but really can't remember why I choose this metering for this image. But it seems to have worked well.Inspiration
We had some pretty good rain for a few days and I heard that the falls were flowing pretty good so took a drive up to shoot them. I have taken pictures of the falls before but the dramatic sky and heavy flow were perfect on this day.Editing
Processed with Topaz Adjust and Photoshop Elements 8 to bring out all of the details the sensor captured. In my camera bag
Back then it was just the E-510 and a few kit lenses. Now I use an Olympus EMD-OM1 with a variety of Micro 4/3rd and 4/3rd lenses. Some ND Filters,Polarazers.Feedback
Always looking for great clouds in the sky. I tend to darken my skies, seems people really like stormy looking pics. Shooting Raw to get the most of the image. Glad you all like this one. Thanks, Eric.
