Location
This photo was taken at Liberty State Park near Newark, NJ overlooking the Hudson River at Manhattan.Time
A group of photographers went up there to take long exposure shots thorough the first snow storm of 2016. This was take around 7pm.Lighting
Lighting was long exposure, no on or off camera lights.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon Rebel T3i, 18-55mm kit lens, f/22.0, ISO 200, 60 second long exposure, wired remote, tripod.Inspiration
I absolutely Liberty State Park. There is so much history there. It is where the immigrants first came through after being cleared at Ellis Island on their way to their new homes in the United States. The pier is very damaged from Hurricane Sandy. To me, this represents the Dream the immigrants had when they came here.Editing
Absolutely no post processing. This photo is SOOCIn my camera bag
I carry the only camera I have, my Canon Rebel T3i. I carry both my 18-55 mm kit lens and my 75-300mm lens. When I'm working with long exposure, I carry both my wired and wireless remotes.Feedback
Take your time, wait for the shot. Try different settings with your long exposure. There were 5 of us out there capturing the view and all 5 of us have different takes on the same shot. I love the pier and the lights. Find your focus, something that really interests you and capture it.
