This picture is from one of the most extraordinary and least visited parts of Chile. Chiloe Island is part of a magnificent archipelago near Puerto Montt, this is one of the most unique and dramatic environments in all of Chile, it has its own unique culture, food, landscapes and friendly locals to top it all off. Whilst hiking through Chiloe National Park we noticed some striking sea caves and rock formations, when we climbed down to the beach to view them we were astonished to find these spectacular rocks, covered in multi coloured algae and different layers of colourful sedimentary rocks. This is a HDR snap of the rocks which allowed visibility through to the end of the tunnel in the photo.
