Amazing landscapes can be found around the tourist hub of San Pedro de Atacama in Northern Chile. Pictured here is Salar de Talar, a spectacular turquoise lagoon flanked by an attractive volcano. The lagoon is located at a somewhat suffocating 3900m and San Pedro de Atacama does not prepare one very well for a whole day up at this altitude! The colours in this place were just incredible, the whole area looks as though it has been airbrushed. I was pretty surprised that most tours won't even take you here, it was my favourite spot in the region, so i highly recommend you check it out if you make your way here.
