Location
This photo was taken at Letaba rest camp in the Kruger National Park in South Afrika. The camp is near the Phalaborwa gate in Limpopo South Africa which is where I live.Time
We were at the camp waiting for our food and drinks so I decided to walk along the pathway along the river. I saw these cute baby monkeys playing in the trees and jumping around. I had my long lens on my camera and the rest was at my family at our table so I had to balance it real good as I didn't have my tripod with me as well. I walked closer to them slowly as the mothers was around and they can be aggressive and I got the shot. It was around 14:00 SA time.Lighting
So there was branches with small leaves behind this little guy and it as a warm summers day so the sky was bright and blue and open with no clouds so the focus was great and the lighting great.Equipment
the image was shot with a Nikon D3200 with a Sigma 120-400mm lense. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I saw the young monkeys playing around and wanted to get some cute photos of them playing, I saw this one being funny and sitting there looking at me so I focused on him.Editing
I cropped it a little bit to get closer and added a little bit of light to it but I noticed the light wasn't nessesary so I removed it again. In my camera bag
Firstly my NikonD3200 and lenses especially my Sigma 120-400mm. Two SD cards just in case I get excited and take a little over the SD limit (one can never take too much photos to get it right). And my battery charger just in case but I always make sure its fully loaded for the day ahead.Feedback
Well the guys never sit still for too long and if you're in a car your angels are limited, my advice would be to always by ready for an opportunity and if you are able to be on foot use it and move around them and slowly enough so you dont scare them, but remember to always obey the rules of the area you are in and remember that they can kill no matter how cute.
