How pretty! Your photo reminded me of Wyoming. (If you check my gallery I think you'll see why. Very similar coloring.) Nice capture!

Location
On holiday in Lake Tekapo, South Island, New Zealand.Time
This was taken just after we arrived in our camper at Lake Tekapo late in the day. It was far colder outside than I expected! We wanted to walk to the Church of the Good Shepherd before it got dark, and this shot was taken on our walk there. The views in this spot are spectacular. Unfortunately it can be quite crowded trying to get photos of the church, people forget to look in other directions, but look at this!Lighting
This was quite a spurr of the moment shot, no special lighting was used. I had not long bought this camera (my first DSLR) so didn't know how to control all the manual settings at this stage. The scenery is just so beautiful you don't need to work hard to get the shot!Equipment
Just my Canon 550D camera with a standard 18 - 55mm lense. No tripod.Inspiration
I was just trying to capture the outstanding scenery we were looking at, hoping it would do it justice to show my friends and family. This is one of my favourite spots in all of NZ.Editing
Just some adjusting of lighting and bringing the colours out in Lightroom. This was shot as a JPEG so I was limited on the amount of editing I could do to it.In my camera bag
I am still learning photography so not a lot at the moment. I have my Canon 550D body with 3 lenses - the kit lenses: 18-55mm & 55-200mm, and a 50mm f1.8 lense. Also spare batteries and memory cards, and a tripod if I need it. However I am looking at upgrading my gear at some stage.Feedback
Travel and explore you own country, take a walk and find a beautiful spot. This particular time was great, as the sun was just setting and there were some interesting stormy looking clouds rolling in which looked very dramatic, and I loved the deep colours in them. Also perhaps avoid the popular photo spots and try a different perspective.
