Location

This photo was taken on my first visit to Stockholm in December, 2010.

Time

It was already dark at 3pm on 15th December, 2010. As I was leaving the central bus station to downtown, I saw this view that made to froze in time. I stood there for a moment, embracing the full on winter vibe, looking on the busy city noise and people dealing with winter. At that time I was a student in South West England, so I looked through very young, naive careless swimming in freedom student's attitude. Seeing everything romantacized about the upcoming adulthood lifestyle. I hadn't felt snow for few years and this moment just made me fall in love with Stockholm. Few years later I returned and I live in Stockholm now.

Lighting

For the softness use the lowest aperture!

Equipment

This was shot with my first serious camera Canon 50D lens 50mm 1.4!

Inspiration

To me it stays in a memory as the moment I knew I want to move to Sweden when I have graduated my BA in England. It was just one of those moments when it felt like the world around me was on slow motion.

Editing

Yes, this is not SOOC, but back then I played with PhotoScape, no serious editing, just very slight. This camera didn't shoot on RAW so most of my photos via canon 50D were adjusted to exact aperture and shutter speed, that I only added the tones I felt I want my image to be seen with.

In my camera bag

My gear has been very minimalistic. Canon 50D I only used mostly with my 50mm which I changed twice in its lifetime and the standard 18-55mm, and 70-200mm Tamrom. Now I carry Nikon 750D with several lenses, but mostly I still end up using 50mm 1.2 now.

Feedback

This is purely be in the moment travelers type photo, just noticing everydays normal activities which sometimes comes out beautifully in a photo.
