Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was shot at the local zoo, I am always interested in finding new things to photograph.

Time

This was taken at 2pm it was mid afternoon and a nice sunny day

Lighting

Nothing special it was a beautiful day and I had to angle the camera downward a bit to keep some glare off my camera

Equipment

This was taken with a Samsung wb2100 f4.1. I used automatic settings for this shot. I am still learning how to use manual settings as a beginner, and my camera is nothing big or fancy, most of my photos are point and shoot.

Inspiration

The way he was sitting intrigued me he reminded me of a wise guru waiting to give advice hence the title I gave. Also I loved his long hair and the way it looked so clean and neat.

Editing

I have never done any altering of my photos, no photoshop or changing the image. For one, I haven't learnt that, and for 2, I prefer my photos to be as natural as possible. I might add some saturation or light or shadows but that's about it. This shot was taken through a fence as you can see the shadows on the sides it was the only way I could get a clearer shot.

In my camera bag

I have very little in way of equipment, just my Samsung wb2100 and an extra battery. Always an extra battery lol

Feedback

Patience is important in a location like this, there is never a completely empty time. There are always people walking around and noone will stop or move out of the way for you. Wait for a good time and when you get a chance, move fast lol.
